What the study visa is
The study visa allows non-EU nationals to stay in Spain for studies lasting more than 90 days at an authorised educational institution, such as a university degree, a master's programme or another officially recognised course. Courses of up to 90 days fall under the rules for short stays. The visa itself is issued only by the Spanish consulate after it assesses the application.
What the file usually includes
- An admission or enrolment letter from an authorised Spanish institution.
- Proof of sufficient financial means for your stay.
- Health insurance valid in Spain.
- A valid passport and, for longer stays, a criminal record certificate and a medical certificate.
